Ann M. (“Alice”) Gallivan
Age 79, died peacefully and surrounded by family in Roseville, MN on December 13, 2021.
Ann was born on April 5, 1942 to Everett and Orella Gallivan, and was raised with her siblings at the family farm in Hugo, MN, attending St. Mary’s and White Bear Lake High Schools. She was a long-time resident of St. Paul, and worked for the City of St. Paul for many years. Ann’s faith was of utmost importance to her, and she generously volunteered her time to many Catholic organizations.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Phyllis (Krey), Rosemary, and Joseph, and former spouse John Donohue, IV.
Ann is survived by son Nick (Heather) Donohue, grandchildren Claire and Lachlan Donohue, siblings Kathy (Bob) Gilsdorf, Mary (Amy Arena) Ozarowski, Jane (Joe) Adrian, and Mike (Dianne Bredeson) Gallivan, and brother in law Jim Krey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her aunt and uncle Mariann and Stan Dupre. Ann made fast friends everywhere she went and will be missed by many, especially her dear companion Charles Barklind.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on January 5, 2022 at St. Louis King of France Church, 506 Cedar Street, St. Paul, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Masks are requested, and vaccination or a recent negative test are strongly encouraged. Private interment at St. Mary’s of the Lake cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorials preferred to Catholic Charities of Minneapolis & St. Paul or Regions Hospital Foundation.
