Bernie passed away peacefully in her sleep following a long & declining health issue. She was a lifelong resident of St. Paul. Graduated from St. Catherines College with a degree in Art & Education. Teaching in the St. Paul school system High School & Junior High for 34 yrs, before retiring. She also taught U.S. Military children in Japan for 2 yrs. In the 1950'a. Her goal was to instill in her students a sense of learning thru life experiences. She loved travel, both in the US with her husband John, as well as travel abroad. She was a gifted artist & collector of artifacts. Bernie wanted to thank her faithful friend & aide, Shirley Piele for her care during her last difficult times. Bernie was a kind and loving person who will be sadly missed by her survivors. She was preceded in death by her husband John; parents, Clarence J. & Mary Amos and sisters, Mary Amos, Dorothy Black & Caroline Amos. She is survived by her brother, Clarence R. Amos; nephew Robert C. (Beth) Amos and niece Kristine Black (Jack O'Niel) Memorial Mass Monday 1pm at KESSLER & MAGUIRE 640 W. 7th St. 651-224-2341. Visitation starting at noon.
