Carol McDonald

Carol Ann McDonald (nee Schoenbauer),age 77 died May 11, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, of a rare cancer that she accepted with inspiring grace.

Preceded in death by parents William & Walburga Schoenbauer, brothers Andrew, Melvin, Wallace; infant siblings Billy, Helen, Mary Ann.

Survived by husband John; brothers Ralph, Gilbert (Shirley), Jerry (Pat); sisters Mildred (Richard) Dehlinger, Lillie Mae Gravlin, Shirley (Howard) Schwisow.

Carol went to school at St. Wenceslaus School, New Prague; Bethlehem Academy, Faribault and received her BA from Mankato Sate University. was an exceptional teacher, especially of reading, teaching at Holy Redeemer School in Montgomery;  followed by 5 years at St. Bridget’s and at St. Bernard’s for 24.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 650 Palace Ave with visitation starting at 9:30 AM. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  Memorials to Our Lady of Peace.
