Christine Hebert

Christine C. Hebert, age 62, died Monday November 3, 2008 at the United Hospital in St. Paul.

Chris was born November 22, 1945, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Schreiner) Preston in St. Paul. She attended St. Francis Catholic School and later North St. Paul High School. She grew up with her brothers Edward, Gerry and David. Chris married Arthur Hebert in 1968 and they made their home in Cottage Grove, MN. Together they raised their children, Ramona “Mona” and Scott until Art’s untimely death on February 11, 1976. Chris, alone, saw her children into adulthood and eventually became a grandmother. Being a grandma was one of her greatest joys. Chris had worked at Supermom’s Bakery for many years until her health made it necessary to retire. Chris’ interests included caring for her dogs, ceramics, bead work and collectibles, but her greatest love was for her family.

Chris is lovingly survived by her children Romona (Jason) Zimmerman and Scott Hebert; her grandchildren Nicholas Meyer, Stacia and Matthew Zimmerman; her brothers Edward (Judy) Preston, Gerald (Kathy) Huspek and David Huspek; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, “the only man she ever loved” and her parents. She has now joined her beloved husband.
