On December 28, 2014 Dennis, aka "Denny", "Cakes", "Scoop" &/or his moniker "The Menace" passed away suddenly on his favorite day; Sunday - the Lord's day. (Church, Rest, Mom's Pot Roast, Football) He's now in heaven making soup & chili with his beloved mom Lola & catching up on 64 years w/father Julian, who died when Dennis was 7. He is hugging brother Julian, going round #783 of the MN vs FL baseball "discussion" w/brother Tom, & dancing w/brother Richard & Elvis. He took the most pride in those he now watches over – daughter Faye, son Steve & his wife Wendy & the grandchild he not so patiently waited for - Maxwell. A proud 101st Airborne Army vet, Denny ecstatically retired after 30 years of U.S. Postal service. Denny had a life-long love affair with his family, friends & 7 dogs – currently Rudy & Harvey. He was sweet, kind, funny, and one-in-a-million. If his genuine kindness touched your life, join his family Monday, January 5th at St. Stanislaus, 10 a.m. visitation, 11a.m. Mass, Ft. Snelling burial, & church luncheon to share some Irish & West 7th St. tales. In lieu of flowers, the family will donate to the Humane Society.
