Danny was born on May 11, 1950, in Stillwater, MN to EarlLyle and Beverly Ann Montpetit of Somerset, WI. When he was very young his family moved to the East Side of St. Paul wherehe attended St. Casimir’s Primary School and Hill High School. He moved in with his Grandmother Angaline his Senior year and transferred to Somerset High School in Wisconsin, from where he graduated in 1968. Danny grew up working with his dad at the family’s many businesses and in 1971, at the young age of 20, he bought Tiffany’s Sports Lounge. He served many patrons from the Highland Park area, Ford Plant, and the University of Saint Thomas. Many patrons and staff became good friends or even a part of the “Tiff’s Family.” It was here he was referred to by many as “Senior” and although he had moved on from slinging cocktails, counting money and occasionally throwing the credit card machine at the wall, he still called daily to check in. Danny enjoyed anything milk chocolate, luxury cars, watching TCM in his favorite reclining chair, sports, coffee and going out for a good meal. Spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids, brought him so much joy, but most of all he loved spending time with Maureen. Although he often used colorful language to express his thoughts, his example and advice taught us resilience and compassion. We are proud of his legacy and unspoken generosity and kindness, especially to those in need.
