Eugene Robinette

Eugene Thomas Robinette Age 67, of St. Paul, MN Passed on 12/4/2014 Eugene was born on December 5, 1946 in St. Paul, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and James and his granddaughter, Brittany; survived by his wife, Vickie; his children, Veronica, Rebecca, Michelle, and Jenna with his first wife Victoria and Steve and Bill with second wife, Vickie; his grandchildren Amanda, Alexandra, Angelina, Nicole, David, Steven, Samantha, Miranda, Stevie, Aaron, Nick, Lexi and Karissa; and his great-grandchildren Skylar, Stephanie, Shylee, Aiden and CJ. Eugene was a man of very little words, which made the words he did speak more important. Gene loved all animals, especially his dogs Princess and Buddy and their many litters of puppies, and his pet raccoon, Rascal. Eugene had a love of nature and was a talented gardener. He loved to tend to his many roses and decorate his yard to share with his family at barbecues and holiday gatherings. Eugene enjoyed collecting train sets and building model airplanes and model cars. He especially loved to be on his computer, playing games and social networking. He loved music, playing his guitar, black & white movies, westerns, golfing, fishing, cooking, Red Lobster dinners, Veronica's enchiladas, and hard candy. He was hard working, strong-minded and compassionate. Gene finished his 22-year working career as a carpenter/display cabinet maker. As a child, Gene came down with strep throat. This went untreated and settled into his kidneys when he was 14. Hypertension followed, requiring a restricted diet, and his kidneys began to fail around age 50. He was an incredibly strong fighter, struggling with dialysis treatment and associated medical conditions for the last 19 years of his life. Eugene will have a visitation at Kessler & Maguire beginning at 1:00PM on Tuesday, December 9th with service following at 2:00PM and luncheon gathering afterward at Angelo's Italian Restaurant [1203 Southview Blvd, South St Paul, MN 55075]. Memorials preferred over flowers.
