Joan F. Daugherty

August 1927 – January 2019

Jo was born & raised in Iowa to Neal and Blanche (Wiley) Bixler. She earned a college degree in Education. She was married to Joseph Daugherty for 55 wonderful years. They were both loyal members of the Methodist Church and loved to travel. They raised their three children in St. Paul. Jo was a devoted mother and lifelong volunteer. She is survived by her children Julie, Susan, and Thomas (Teresa), her grandchildren Tony (Amy), Samantha and Alaina, two great grandchildren, sisters Carla, Mary, Katy, and many nieces and nephews. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, brother John, and son-in-law Jack. A public memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 700 Wesley Lane, Mendota Heights, MN on Friday, February 8th at 11am. A private burial will follow at Ft. Snelling. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
