Educator, Age 85 Passed away January 15, 2017 Preceded in death by brothers Charles, Laurence, and sister Lois (Ken Yehlik). Survived by wife, Marlene (Rogers); children, Scott and Gail (Alan Wright); grandsons Brendon and Jesse; great grandsons Hunter, Isaac and Bradley. Many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Kent, a Korean Army Veteran, graduated from Macalester (BA) and the University of Illinois (MS). He taught science in the St. Paul schools for 42 years. 10 as supervisor of science education. He also coached hockey for 8 years. Kent was a Fulbright Exchange Teacher, to the Netherlands, and taught science at a U.S. Army school in Karlsruhe, Germany. We will miss his quick wit, fun and funny nature, and most of all his great bear hugs. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 25, at 1:00 p.m. at the C.S.P.S. (Sokol Hall) 383 Michigan Street, Upper Level.
