Margaret Burton

Margaret (Margi) Lynne Burton loving mother, mother-in-law, nanny, sister and friend passed away peacefully at home Sunday July 25, 2021 at age 76.  She was born to Francis and Florence Dressely January 24, 1945 in St Paul, MN.  After Graduating from Monroe High School in 1963 she moved, with friends, to Redwood City, CA to work at Yosemite National Park.  It is there, while working as cocktail waitress at Mel's Bowling Alley, she met and married Dennis Burton. On January 27, 1969, they had a son Sean Michael.

Margi and Sean moved back to MN in 1975. She later moved to Arizona and returned in 2000 to be near and a part of her grandchildren’s lives.

She retired as a bookkeeping clerk from RS Eden in 2018. Margi enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and friends. She loved good food, good wine, the gameshow network, crossword  puzzles, and the challenge of a slot machine.

Margi is survived by her son, Sean (April) Burton, 3 grandchildren: Emmalynn Ann, Annemarie Margaret, Wyatt Michael William; Two furry companions Mollie & Gracie.  Sisters: Jacqueline Bertrand, Barbara (Ron) Adams, Judith Booren, Michele (Paul) Pream. Brothers: Earl (Carolyn), Richard (Sherrie), James (Deborah) Dressely. Sister-in-laws: Joyce, Judith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Sister Darlene Conlin, Brothers Francis and Robert.  Brother-in-laws Robert Bertrand, Dan Booren, and Tom Conlin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held later to celebrate the life of Margi Burton.
