Zenker Marjorie Wade "It was loverly." Marjorie Joan Wade died March 24th at the age of 91. She was born in St. Paul to Minna Lehrer Wade and Henry Wade. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved son, Timothy Zenker; brother Robert Wade; and sisters Audrey Wade Doth and Veronica Wade Schoenberger. Marjorie is survived by Carl Zenker who has known her for 77 ½ years and was married to her for 67 ½ of those; daughter Paula; brother Richard Wade and sister-in-law Harriet Getterz Wade; brother-in-law James Schoenberger; nieces, nephews, and friends. Marjorie was a proud U S Marine Corps veteran. She was a talented, creative, spunky woman with a free spirit and an open heart. She lived life with a rare curiosity and sense of wonder. She loved singing, painting, sewing, creating recipes, researching genealogy, and stalking the wild asparagus. She did not like Barry Manilow.Marjorie embraced feminism, was known to be a news junkie, and was at home in the natural world. Most of all, Marjorie was loving, forthright, and generous with family and friends. She was fun to be with and encouraged silliness. A special portion of gratitude to Marjorie's favorite MD, Alden Tetlie, and his MA, Plia. And, many thanks to all the other compassionate caregivers who were kind to Marjorie, and to all the water-carriers. Those planning to attend, are asked to please wear blue jeans in honor of Marjorie's love for all things denim. Funeral Service Friday 2pm at KESSLER & MAGUIRE 640 W. 7th St. 651-224-2341.
