Mellisa Jo passed away April 8th 2018 at the age of 42, after a long struggle with ALS. She was surrounded by her family and friends. Missy was born to Diane Kay Steinberg & Tony Johnson on November 18, 1975 in Eau Claire, WI. Missy grew up and lived on the West End of Saint Paul. Missy worked at United Hospital for 22 yrs. She was passion and proud to work in the health care field. She enjoyed being a union steward for local 113. Her greatest love came on November 24 2013 with the birth of her daughter Gracelyn Kay. The light of her life! One of Missy’s proudest moments was pinning the officer badge on her brother Joe. Missy looked forward to Sunday family dinners and spending time with friends. Missy will be remember as loving, hard working, caring and courageous. And by her bright smile and unforgettable dimples. Left to honor, remember, and love her are her daughter Gracelyn Kay , brother Joseph Steinberg (Kayla), Auntie Mary & Uncle James, Casey Jo, John, Darin Schake. Father Tony ( Shelly ) Johnson ,sister Krista and girls, brother Travis. Aunt Pat (Denny), Uncle Jim (Sue), many cousins, and extended family. Life long friends Nicole & Mandy; Her beloved four-legged companion Baloo, along with many other friends and coworkers. Special thank you to friends who gave love and affection to missy in her time of need. Couldn’t have done it without you! Missy was preceded in death by her mother Diane and gramma Ruth and 1 of 8 people afflicted with als in her family. Above all Missy cherish the time she was able to spend with her loved ones. Especially her daughter Grace,brother Joe, and Baloo and every day family. Visitation Wednesday (Tomorrow) from 4-7 pm at KESSLER & MAGUIRE FUNERAL HOME 640 W. 7th St. 651-224-2341. Memorial Mass Thursday 11 am at ST. STANISLAUS CATHOLIC CHURCH 398 Superior St. Visitation also starting at 10am at church. Lunch to follow. We will always carry your memory in our hearts ♥️
