Patricia Leon, 93, of Bloomington, Minnesota, died Sunday, February 4, at home. Patricia (Pat) was born on March 15, 1930, to Michael and Esther Nash in New Prague, Minnesota. Pat grew up in the Irish farming community of St. Patrick, Minnesota and graduated from New Prague High School. She attended beauty school in Minneapolis and worked there as a beautician where she met her husband, Francis Leon (Frank), a barber at the shop next door. Pat and Frank were married on February 19, 1955, and had three children.
When she married, Pat became a homemaker. She was very fond of cooking and tending to her flower gardens, a pastime she handed down to her children. As Providence would have it, her youngest great-granddaughter, Agnes Marie, was born the day Pat entered eternity.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank; and brothers Robert, John, and James.
Pat is survived by her children Jean Leon, Burnsville, MN; Carol Ard (Patrick), St. Mary’s, KS; Steven Leon, Bloomington, MN; two sisters, Lorraine Enger, Richfield, MN, and Mary Timura (John), Necedah, WI; brother, Rollie Nash (Addie), Burnsville, MN; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
