Richard Peter Bauer

Richard Peter Bauer January 30, 1938 – March 13, 2025

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Richard (Dick) Bauer, age 87, of Shoreview, on March 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Irene and William Bauer, wife Dianne, sister Barbara King, and son Rich. Richard is survived by his wife Donna; children, Deborah Everett (Bob), and Dan (Beverly); Daughter in-law, Melissa Bauer; grandchildren, Noelle, Noah (Courtney), Nevynn (Kenney), Marlee, and Mason; and great-grandchildren, David, Judah, Kayley, and Henry.

Born on January 30, 1938, in Robbinsdale, MN, Richard attended Robbinsdale High School. He proudly served in the Naval Reserves, earning an honorable discharge in 1963. He had a rewarding career at 3M, contributing to the development of many medical imaging technologies before retirement.

Richard married Dianne Marie Nye in 1964, and together they raised three children: Rich, Deborah, and Dan. After Dianne’s passing in 2008, he found love again with Donna and their marriage brought him great happiness.

Richard was a man of strong faith and lived his life guided by the love of Jesus Christ. He was also passionate about the outdoors, enjoying time hunting, fishing, and on the lake. Above all, Richard cherished his family, and his legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
