Thomas passed away peacefully after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas & Audrey, mother-in-law Lucille Jelinek and brothers-in-law Dave Donaghue and Gary Schmidt. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 49 years, Bonnie (Jelinek) and his four children; Tom, Karen, Diane Campbell, and Russ (Michelle), twelve grandchildren; Lexie, Sophie, Mac, Andrew, Matthew, KK, Thomas, Madi, Cam, Grace, Jack and Joe, sisters; Carole Donaghue, Susie (Bob) Hansen, Linda (Ken) Wolkerstorfer and Jan Romans, sister-in-law Mary Lou Schmidt, special friends Denny & Corrine Schmidt and Bill & Jeannine Kohout, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends, and an uncle.Tom lived a wonderfully fulfilled life. He loved his family very much and enjoyed a successful 39-year career with 3M. After retiring, he cherished time with family and friends and enjoyed working part-time as a courier at Presbyterian Homes. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. James Adams and the Telemetry staff at St. John's Hospital for their amazing care. Catholic funeral mass 10 AM Monday at the CHURCH OF THE ASSUMPTION, 51 W. 7th St., St. Paul. Visitation 3-6 PM Sunday at KESSLER & MAGUIRE FUNERAL HOME, 640 W. 7th St., St. Paul and at the church 1 hour prior to service. Private interment. Memorials preferred.
