Wayne Helgason

Wayne Helgason, 59, of St. Paul passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 16, 2009. Wayne was born on December 27, 1949 to Stefan and Lillian Helgason in Gardar , North Dakota . He grew up in the Twin Cities and attended the University of Minnesota . Wayne married Kathy Sullivan on Sept. 10, 1977 in Stillwater . Together they raised four children. Wayne was known for his sincerity, intellect, mentorship, and love for his family and friends. He enjoyed family get-togethers, reading, and coffee and fellowship with friends. He was an avid golfer and even shot two holes-in-one during his many years on the links. Wayne touched many people’s lives and will be greatly missed by all. To say he was extraordinary in the eyes of his family wouldn’t be enough.
